Here’s how it actually works in Canada 🇨🇦

✔️ 5% down on the first $500,000

✔️ 10% on the portion between $500,000–$999,999

✔️ 20% required for homes $1M+

So yes… the higher the price, the more you need.

But here’s what most buyers don’t realize 👇

👉 Your down payment is only part of the story

👉 You also need closing costs (approx. 1.5%–4%)

👉 Your approval amount matters more than your savings
